Ingredients

For the Filling:

  • 8 oz cream cheese: Softened to room temperature for a smooth creamy texture.
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar: Adds just the right amount of sweetness.
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract: Enhances the flavor with a hint of warmth.
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream: Whipped to stiff peaks for a light airy filling.

For the Topping:

  • 12 Oreo cookies: Crushed or halved for a delightful crunch on top.
  • Chocolate syrup or hot fudge: Optional but highly recommended for a decadent finish.
  • Whipped cream: Optional, for an extra touch of indulgence.

Instructions
 

Step 1: Prepare the Oreo Crust

  • Crush the Oreos: Place 24 Oreo cookies in a food processor or ziplock bag and crush them into fine crumbs.
  • Mix with butter: In a bowl, combine the Oreo crumbs with 4 tablespoons of melted butter. Stir until the mixture resembles wet sand.
  • Press into the dish: Transfer the mixture to a 9x9-inch baking dish. Use the back of a spoon or your fingers to press it firmly into an even layer.
  • Chill: Pop the crust into the refrigerator for 10 minutes to set while you prepare the filling.

Step 2: Make the Creamy Filling

  • Beat the cream cheese: In a mixing bowl, beat 8 oz of softened cream cheese until smooth and creamy.
  • Add sweetness: Gradually mix in 1/2 cup of powdered sugar and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract until fully combined.
  • Whip the cream: In a separate bowl, whip 1 cup of heavy whipping cream until stiff peaks form.
  • Combine: Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until smooth and fluffy. Be careful not to overmix!

Step 3: Assemble the Layers

  • Spread the filling: Remove the crust from the fridge and spread the cream cheese filling evenly over the top.
  • Add the topping: Sprinkle 12 crushed or halved Oreo cookies over the filling for that extra crunch.
  • Drizzle (optional): For a decadent touch, drizzle chocolate syrup or hot fudge over the top.

Step 4: Chill and Serve

  • Refrigerate: Cover the dish and let it chill in the fridge for at least 2 hours (or overnight) to set.
