  • 2 tbsp heavy cream
  • 1 tsp sakura syrup
  • Pink food coloring optional

For Decoration:

Instructions
 

Step 1: Prepare the Cake Batter

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a round cake pan.
  • In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • In another bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  • Mix in vanilla extract and sakura syrup.
  • Gradually add dry ingredients, alternating with milk, and mix until smooth.
  • Add pink food coloring for a delicate pastel hue.
  • Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30-35 minutes.
  • Let the cake cool completely before frosting.

Step 2: Make the Sakura Frosting

  • Beat butter until creamy.
  • Gradually add powdered sugar, mixing well.
  • Stir in sakura syrup and heavy cream.
  • Add food coloring if desired and mix until smooth.

Step 3: Assemble and Decorate

  • Spread frosting evenly over the cooled cake.
